We rounded-up some exciting quad-core processor and Android Jelly Bean equipped devices last month and we are back this month with the latest and the best Android powerhouses in this category for September 2013.
1. Samsung Galaxy Trend DUOS
The latest Android offering from the Samsung stable packs in style and performance in a budget price tag. Dubbed as Galaxy Trend DUOS, the device is fitted with a 4-inch WVGA screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Taking care of the internals is Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and a dual-core Cortex-A5 chipset along with 512 RAM.
The dual-SIM device brings on board a 3-megapixel rear camera, 4GB internal memory expandable via microSD card and a pretty decent battery backup of 1,500mAh for Rs 8,490. Possibly the cheapest Samsung offering till date, the device locks horn with Nokia's cheapest Windows phone Lumia 520, which has also been popular among young budget consumers.

2. Spice Virtuoso Pro+ Mi-492
Remember Spice Virtuoso Pro Mi-491? Well the latest Spice offering, Virtuoso Pro+ Mi-492 brings the same style as its predecessor with updated specs. Priced for Rs 7,499, the device is flanked by a 4.5-inch TFT LCD capacitive display with the same 854x480 pixels resolution as its predecessor.
The main difference is spotted in the processor and OS. The device is powered by an updated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version and a better 1.3 GHz dual core processor than the 1 GHz dual core processor of Virtuoso Pro Mi-491. There is also a 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera on board along with 512 MB RAM, 32 GB expandable storage, 2 GB of free Spice Cloud storage and a pretty decent 1730 mAh battery backup.

3. Micromax Fun A63
Micromax's Fun series lineup has been popular with the consumers owing to its decent spec list and a affordable price tag. Taking the line forward, Micromax this month introduced the Fun A63 smartphone equipped with a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean accompanied with a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and 512 MB RAM.
The colorful and stylish device also houses a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera along with excellent connectivity options like 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth and 1500 mAh battery for a tempting price tag of Rs 6,799.
On the storage front, the device harbors a 1 GB internal memory which can be expanded to 32 GB using a Micro SD card slot. Two other 'Fun' handsets which we have covered previously under our top 10 section and also make for a great buy include Micromax Fun A76 and Fun A74 for Rs 8,288 and Rs 7,799.

4. Lava Iris 506q
Lava, another indigenous brand has also been slowly and steadily gaining consumer attention in India. The company has rolled out a plethora of devices in the past few months and continues to bombard the market with Android devices targeted towards the budget and mid-level markets. The recent Android 4.2 Jelly Bean offering from the company, dubbed Iris 506q is another interesting device that warrants attention.
The device includes a 5-inch IPS touchscreen with QHD resolution and OGS display technology along with 1.2 GHz quad core processor.The 3G-enabled device also houses a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with a 0.3-megapixel front camera for initiating video calling and chatting. On the storage front it includes expandable memory support upto 32GB with battery resting at a solid 2,000 mAh. Connectivity options includes Bluetooth, WiFi along with support for GPS/A-GPS.

5. Xolo A500S
Xolo has been working hard to gain a strong foothold in the budget and mid-segment market. After launching the Play T1000 smartphone, the company has now introduced another strong contender in the market. Dubbed Xolo A500S, the dual-SIM smartphone comes equipped with a 4-inch TFT display and is fueled by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1.2GHz dual-core processor, accompanied by 512MB of RAM and Mali-400 MP GPU.
The device offers 4GB of internal memory with 32GB support via MicroSD card slot. On the camera front, the device boasts of a 5-megapixel front camera and a VGA front camera for initiating video calls.
The battery back-up stands at 1,400 mah battery which promises to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 8 hours on 3G. Available in black, blue, red and white color variants, the device also houses security app called Xolo Secure app which provides anti-theft solution and defends the phone against data loss and theft.
A great combination of power, style and security, Xolo A500S makes for a great buy specially at price tag of Rs 6,999.

6. Intex Aqua Wonder Quadcore
An interesting offering from Intex that deserves mention is the Aqua Wonder Quadcore. The smartphone packs in both style and solid specs making it an exciting choice for buyers within the sub 10K range.
The device boasts of dual-SIM capabilities and comes fitted with a gorgeous 4.5-inch qHD display with 960x540 pixels resolution. Fueling the internals is the quad-core MediaTek MT6589 SoC with 512MB of RAM and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. While the device packs in limited built-in storage at 1.93GB, the presence of the Micro-SD card support up to 32GB provides some relief.
The device comes strapped to a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and chatting. Also on board is a 800mAh battery and slew of connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.

7. Celkon A112 Signature Swift
This mid-range offering from the indigenous brand flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and a Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The device brings onboard an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a host of connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The smartphone also sports a 2,000mAh battery and 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

8. Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo
We had first heard of Galaxy Pocket Neo way back in April. This entry-level phone brings on board a 3-inch QVGA TFT LCD display, 2-megapixel rear camera and 4GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot. The dual-SIM device is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS laced with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI, 850MHz processor coupled with 512MB RAM.
Other goodies on board include a descent 1,200mAh battery, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. To lure in consumers Samsung is offering Galaxy Pocket Neo owners 3,000 coins that can be used to download music, games, apps and more on the Samsung app store. That's not all. In partnership with Vodafone, consumers will also be getting 500MB of free 3G data for two months.

9. Celkon A107+
Celkon brings the successor to its previous offering A107 for the Indian consumers. Dubbed A107+, the device brings some refreshed specs on board with the overall composition remaining the same.
The device features a 5-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixels resolution with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and 1GHz dual-core processor complemented by a 512GB of RAM. The device also flaunts a massive 8-megapixel primary and a 1.3 front camera along with a decent battery backup of 2,100mAh battery. Also included on board are sensors like proximity, light and G-sensor.
Storage needs are taken care of by 4GB internal memory with 32GB external support via MicroSD card slot. The dual-SIM smartphone does not offer 3G connectivity, but includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS support.

10. Panasonic T11
One of Panasonic's recent entry in the sub Rs 10,000 range comprises of the dual-SIM Panasonic T11 Android smartphone. Catering to the consumers on budget, the device arrives with a 4-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixels resolution, 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA secondary camera, 4GB internal memory with 32GB support via a microSD card.
The device is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and 1.2GHz quad-core processor complemented by a 1GB of RAM. Connectivity options are also plenty and include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, and GPS.
